LEND A HAND AT THE PENNSYLVANIA TROLLEY MUSEUM
Washington, PA – Do you like talking about history or ever had a fascination with railways? The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum invites people age 14 and up to explore exciting volunteer opportunities at the annual springtime Volunteer Open House. Choose from two dates, Saturday, April 10 or Saturday, May 1 from 10am to 12pm. Open house sessions will be hosted in the Museum’s Visitor Education Center. Come and learn how volunteers have made the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum the largest trolley museum in Pennsylvania and how you can join in the fun!

Information on how to volunteer for streetcar operations, guided tours, and admissions and store sales will be available. Volunteer streetcar operators welcome visitors aboard restored antique trolleys and take them for a fun and informative ride into the past. Docents (tour guides) share their knowledge and enthusiasm with visitors by conducting tours through our collection of vintage trolleys. Museum Store volunteers greet visitors and help run the Museum Store. Training will be provided. There are also many behind the scenes volunteer opportunities such as trolley restoration, track construction, archives, administration, and power & signal maintenance available. Reservations for the Volunteer Open House are recommended but not required. For reservations and more information, please call 724-228-9256 or visit HYPERLINK "http://www.patrolley.org"
www.patrolley.org. Last year over 150 people donated over 28,000 hours, why not be one of them?

Directions: Take I-79 to exit 41, Race Track Road, or take US Route 19 to Race Track Road and then follow the signs approximately 3 miles to the museum.
