Take A Ride Into The Past!
Climb aboard for a ride into the past!
Your visit includes a guided tour of the carbarn and unlimited trolley rides. Please allow 90 minutes for this tour. An additional tour of our Trolley Display Building can be included (see details below.)
Trolley Ride
- Experience an earlier era on one or more of the restored trolleys on a scenic 4-mile ride.
- Hear the clang of the bell and the clatter of the heavy steel wheels over the rails.
- Feel the power of the electric motors.
- Some trolleys are wheelchair accessible.
Visitor Education Center
- The pictorial exhibit in our air-conditioned Visitor Education Center is an ideal way to gain perspective on the Trolley Era.
- The 12 minute video tape presentation in the Education Room will bring scenes of an earlier era to life!
- Browse through the Museum Store which has a wide variety of books, video tapes, memorabilia and souvenirs.
Car House
- View historic trolleys from various eras.
- Learn how volunteer craftsmen rebuild and restore vintage trolleys to operating condition.
Trolley Display Building Tour
Also available is an additional tour of our new Trolley Display Building. This occurs only one time per day. Please allow an extra hour if selecting this option (2 1/2 hours total for both tours and trolley ride.)
- The tour that include the Trolley Display Building begins at 1:15 p.m. (the ride leaves at 1:35 pm) each day of operation, except during the months of March, December and January and during Bunny, Pumpkin, and Santa Trolley.
- Travel by trolley from the museum to the 28,000 square foot building.
- View 30 trolleys from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia!
- Additional fee of $3.00 per adult and $1.00 per child
- Tickets are purchased at the Visitor Center
Free parking, vending machines and a picnic area (no covered shelter.) Buses and RVs welcome!
